Welcome to Central School!

My name is Shirley Kleehammer and I am the Principal of Central School. Our school educates approximately 590 fourth and fifth grade students.

Our goal is to make sure each student feels safe, happy and comfortable at school while receiving an excellent education.

Each year our school focuses on a theme and this year our theme is ‘In Our Central E.R.A.--Making Every Minute Count’. E.R.A. stands for environment, relationships and academics. As a staff, we will strive to ensure that all students feel safe and comfortable in their environment, focus on creating relationships with other students and staff, and focus on their academics each day. We are making every minute count each day.

A little bit about me...I have been an administrator in Lemont 113A for the past 13 years and 11 of those years I was the Assistant Principal at Old Quarry Middle School. I currently live in Willowbrook with my husband, Andy, and we have 7 beautiful grandchildren that I love to spend time with. We love to travel, fish and hike in our spare time.
